The Daily Jump: I

Not quite electro. Not really dubstep. Super close to moombahton, but goes a bit harder? Must be Nu Jump.

Welcome to the first edition of "The Daily Jump," our new Tuesday segment, which will showcase some wicked moombahcore tracks. Although this is an electro blog, moombahcore bridges the gap between a lot of genres - it could be considered a mix of everything (but we're not going to get into the genre war). Anyways, open your ears, crank up the volume, and get your dancing shoes on:

-Can't get this one out of our heads. Well done Rabbit Killer, well done.

NEW AFFILIATE: Ryan Enzed

Hey guys,

We'd like to introduce you to our newest affiliate, Ryan Enzed, a wicked electro house producer hailing from New Zealand! If you're a fan of dance music, we're sure you've heard of him. We'll be working with him on some very cool stuff in the future!

Here's a little more about him:

It's only taken Ryan Enzed 18 months to go from a casual music production tutorial maker, to New Zealand's leading Electro House musician. With his success on the Beatport charts, high profile remixes, to thedjlist.com ranking him as the 2nd biggest DJ in NZ all genres (Number 1 Electro House), things couldn't be going better for Enzed.

Enzed's first major break came when Big Fish Recordings signed him for a two track EP. Enzed's 2012 has been a very good one so far. First, his collaborative track with electro giant, Vodge Diper, was picked up by Bazooka Records, and found its way peaking at #26 in the Beatport Electro Charts. Perhaps his biggest achievement is his official remix for Porter Robinson. Enzed's remix of his track, "I'm On Fire," raced its way into Beatport's Top 20 Electro House Charts, where it remained for sometime.

With Enzed's following continuing to grow and support for his tracks from many DJs worldwide, Enzed has become impossible to ignore. Whether on the Beatport charts, events, at a festival or in a club, you can be sure that in 2012, you will hear more from this talented producer.

Electro Swag - Edition II

Last month, we introduced our monthly post called "Electro Swag," which included around 50 bangin' electro tunes ranging from mashups to remixes to originals, etc. If you don't remember what it's about, here's an excerpt from the last post:

"Every first of the month, we're going to give away something called 'electro swag.'
It'll be a pack of 50 of the most excellent, electro tracks out there from the past month.
Be sure to get it tomorrow!"

Now, we know it's not the first of the month, but we still have something for you! That being said, download July's Edition of "Electro Swag" here:

July Downloads

And if you missed last month's installment, you can download those tracks here:

Midnight Excursions: II

Back with electro on the relaxing side of things side, we have sounds from Michael Woods, Zedd, Nick Thayer, and more. Lots of slower paced tunes with the right mix of grit, funk, and tranquility. Check it out:

All of the "New Lands" remixes are fantastic. Be sure to check out SebastiAn's!

Many remixes out for his competition, thus far, so we had to give the original some credit!

Saturday Smashup: II

A little bit late, but you guys still deserve the coverage. This installment features tunes from mashup greats like N3AKO, The Hood Internet, Henry Fong, and more! WARNING: may cause erratic movement, somewhere between dancing and epiphanic celebrations.

Mashup-Germany's bootleg was almost a super favorite, then a wild Carly Rae Jespen appeared. (Definitely, not disrespecting the artist; just not our style as electro might not be hers!)

Coming soon!

We've got lots of stuff for you soon. We're going to catch you up on Saturday Smashup, Midnight Excursions, Monday Moods, and more! In the meantime, be sure to check out our latest interview with Dim Mak superstar, Ming:
